Can I Copy text from PDF in iBooks app

I want to copy certain paragraphs of text from PDFs in iBooks into Evernote app on my iPad 2, but I can't find a way to highlight and copy text. How can I do that?You are able to save and organize PDF files using iBooks. Unfortunately, you can't copy and paste the text from PDF using iBooks as far as I know.
